Blake and Slaton got married on a warm January day on St. John – a place that they had visited a few times before and felt drawn to bring the rest of their crew down for a destination wedding. They kept the guest list small and intimate, which allowed a ton of freedom for their ceremony, reception and photo schedule.
After a few getting ready shots, we hiked down to Denis Bay for their ceremony, ran around the beach for a bit, and then hiked back up to Peace Hill for a dreamy sunset. Blake and Slaton put a lot of thought into the day, but also kept everything super laid-back and chill. Blake hand painted the denim jacket and her sister-in-law @lilev_ designed the invites (painkiller recipe included 🙌🏻). Add that in with some Roses Too Flowers and the dappled light really brought it all together.
We finished the night off at the Rum Hut in Cruz Bay where Island Bliss Weddings set up the most beautiful reception on the beach. There were so many “picture perfect” moments from their wedding day (if there is such a thing), but for some reason the little in between moments always steal the show for me. Scroll through for a few shots of Blake & Slaton having the best time with their friends and family.
